The energy transition and the generation, storage and transmission of energy from renewable resources is a megatrend that is irreversible. The decentralized power supply with e.g. solar plants or wind farms go hand in hand with questions about investments and the construction of transport and distribution networks. The rational use of fossil fuels and the use of nuclear energy is important too. The opportunities resulting from the restructuring of the German coal industry and its rise as a technology provider for renewable energy gives German technology a cutting edge. However, we do see interesting local developments in Asia too.
