In February 2023 we were invited to Bangladesh to support the SAARS Foundation. SAARC stands for the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, which is a regional intergovernmental organization consisting of eight member countries in South Asia. The member countries include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The SAARC was established in 1985 with the goal of promoting regional cooperation and economic integration among its member countries. The organization aims to enhance trade and economic cooperation, promote cultural and social ties, and strengthen regional security and stability. SAARC also serves as a platform for member countries to discuss and address issues of mutual interest and concern, including poverty, terrorism, and climate change. The headquarters of SAARC is located in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The country has a thriving private sector, and the government has implemented numerous policies to promote investment and trade, including tax incentives, streamlined business procedures, and special economic zones. Additionally, Bangladesh has a young and dynamic workforce that is highly trainable and cost-effective, making it an attractive destination for outsourcing and manufacturing.
